Position: Forest School Leader (Permanent)
Starting Date: ASAP
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Hours: Part time/Full time (Term time only optional)
Areas of responsibilities and tasks:
To plan, develop and continue to establish the ‘Forest School area’ within ROEC, with guidance and support from the Leadership Team
To plan, prepare and deliver a range of Forest School sessions supporting the entire programme of bookings
To liaise with staff prior to sessions to ensure plans are appropriate and all needs and expectations are met
Support Health & Safety requirements are met within the Forest School
To supervise and support clients with varying needs while delivering sessions
To create and maintain an engaging, fun and supportive environment, demonstrating flexibility in planning and running sessions in response to the varying/changing needs of the centre
To ensure that all sessions are well prepared and risk assessed
To be aware of and comply with all Policies and Procedures (including an enhanced DBS check)
To participate in training and other learning activities/meetings as required
To administer basic first aid as the need arises and record
To observe confidentiality at all times
On occasion, to support or deliver farm activities (within training limits)
To support in the general safety and cleanliness of the centre
To undertake all duties reasonably requested by the Leadership Team
